Behavioral Health

Behavioral health services are offered at all of our sites. The downtown adult site has a part-time psychiatrist, a psychiatric nurse practitioner, two licensed clinical social workers, a licensed professional counselor and a case manager.

Our pediatric and OB site have a licensed clinical psychologist and a medical assistant case manager. Our Amherst and Bedford sites share a licensed professional counselor. People seeking medication management through behavioral health come to the downtown location.

Behavioral health is considered an adjunctive service to the medical care. We work closely with the medical providers, with our goal being a truly integrated model. We provide screenings to determine if we can provide the level of care needed by the individual. We will assist with a referral if one is needed. Johnson Health Center does not have to be your primary care physician in order to access mental health services.

Some of the behavioral health services available to our adult and pediatric patients are:

  • Short term counseling (adult and pediatric)
  • Medication management (adult)
  • Psychological testing (pediatric)
  • Case management and referral (adult and pediatric)
  • GAP assessments (adult)
