Staff Physician

The Staff Physician works as part of the health care team performing a variety of patient-centered services including assessment, diagnosis, evaluation, implementation of treatment plans, and monitoring of follow-up for patients.  Physicians also assist in supervision of community health center PA’s or NP’s as appropriate.

Staff Dentist

The Staff Dentist provides leadership in all areas relating to the dental services at Johnson Health Center’s (JHC) James River Dental Clinic (JRDC) and/or Bedford Dental Clinic (BDC) and/or Atherholt Dental Center (ADC). Responsible for recommending and implementing dental policies and procedures; providing dental services and education to the patients of JRDC and/or BDC and/or ADC; supervising the dental staff; ensuring continuous quality improvement in dental services; representing JHC and JRDC/BDC/ADC at organizations concerned with dentistry services to the underserved; and act as an integral part of the clinical and administrative management team of the health center.

Staff Physician OB/GYN

The OB/GYN Staff Physician works as part of the health care team performing a variety of patient-centered services including assessment, diagnosis, evaluation, implementation of treatment plans, and monitoring of follow-up for patients. OB/GYN Staff Physicians provide supervision of JHC Physician Assistants (PA’s) and Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMW’s) NP’s. As appropriate and included in the local hospital agreement and privileging practice, the Staff OB/GYN Physician supervises and trains local hospital Physician Interns and Physician Residents.

Behavioral Health Care Coordinator

The Behavioral Health Care Coordinator (BHCC) is a core member of the collaborative care team, responsible for reviewing and initially addressing all behavioral health referrals received, connecting patients to appropriate services within JHC as well as resources within the community as needed.

Dental Assistant (Sign-On Bonus)

The Dental Assistant is responsible for chair side assisting dentists in all aspects of patient care, including but not limited to digital radiographs, updating electronic patient records, sterilization, and coordinating continuing care with front desk staff. Must have high school diploma or equivalent. Must have 1-2 years of previous experience as dental assistant. Pediatric dental experience preferred for one location. Must be Dental X-ray certified before applying. Candidate must be motivated, reliable, and a team player with a positive attitude.

Certified/Registered Medical Assistant/Licensed Practical Nurse

Individual will function in conjunction with a medical provider to assist in the provision of professional medical care and nursing support. The nursing staff plays a critical role in the delivery of quality medical care within the context of a federally qualified health center (FQHC). The MA is required to have completed the requirements from an accredited institution and have 1-3 years’ experience in a clinical setting is preferred. Certified/Registration as a Medical Assistant required. Successful candidate will work in a team setting and be able to work a flexible schedule.

The Lead Patient Assistance Specialist works as part of the Patient Care Team and assists with the overall office experience. The Lead Patient Assistance Specialist is primarily responsible for providing excellent customer service in all patient contacts, and promoting team based care by collaborating and communicating patient needs with the care team.

Chief Compliance Officer

The Chief Compliance Officer establishes and implements the quality and compliance program to assure Johnson Health Center (JHC) meets all regulatory program compliance and quality guidelines and to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct. Acting as support to the CEO and the Board of Directors, the CCO reports on the compliance, risk management, quality and ethics efforts of the company and provides guidance to the CEO regarding compliance matters. The CCO promotes fair and unbiased support of personnel and patient issues according to the compliance program. Together with the Corporate Compliance Committee, the CCO implements all necessary actions to ensure achievement of the objectives of an effective compliance program.

Referral Coordinator

The Referral Coordinator manages community specialist and diagnostic testing referrals as requested by provider staff. Referral appointments are scheduled by coordinating care with the patient, and are managed according to the Referral Policy. The Referral Coordinator works with the patient population, JHC staff, and the outside provider community supporting the provider team in a patient-centered, model of care.

Patient Scheduling Specialist

The Patient Scheduling Specialist works as part of the Patient Care Team and assists with the overall scheduling experience. The Patient Scheduling Specialist is primarily responsible for providing excellent customer service in all patient contacts, and ensuring timely patient access to appropriate levels of care. Patient Assistance Specialist

Position will work at the front desk, and be responsible for greeting and checking in/out patients, verifying all demographic information and insurance. Successful candidate will work closely with nursing staff and providers to assure patient process flow is optimized. Individual will also answer phones, make appointments and handle customer relations in a positive, professional manner. Successful candidate will have a HS diploma or equivalent, Medical Assistant Certification desired, 2-5 years customer service skills preferably working in a medical office, working knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook),proven ability to work within a team setting, excellent customer service skills with ability to handle all types of customers. Risk Management and Safety Coordinator

The Risk Management and Safety Coordinator is responsible for safety program including participation with policy development, safety inspections, safety training and compliance with the federal Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA). This position interfaces with internal staff as well as community partners and works with local and regional agencies as necessary to coordinate and maintain daily compliance, risk management, safety efforts as necessary.
