PEDIATRIC SERVICES

Well Child Examinations

Keeping up with routine pediatric visits during a global pandemic can be overwhelming, but these visits are essential to your child’s health and development. Children should have visits with their pediatrician every few months until they are at least 2 years old and then they will be seen on a yearly basis. At these visits, your child’s doctor will track growth and development, including milestones, social behaviors and learning. Your child will also receive scheduled immunizations to prevent illnesses like measles and whooping cough. If you have any concerns for your child’s health, this can be discussed during their routine visit as well.

What immunizations will my child need?

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has put together a schedule of recommended immunizations for your child.

Your child’s primary care provider can also educate you on what immunizations are needed.

CDC IMMUNIZATION SCHEDULE

Pediatric services at Johnson Health Center include:
  • Well-child examinations
  • Acute sick visits – available same-day appointments
  • Chronic disease management
